How to Use Tags in Mozilla Thunderbird
- 1). Download, install and set up your email accounts in Mozilla Thunderbird, If you haven't already. This software is available for free through the link in Resources below.
- 2). Locate and click on the "Tag" button on your toolbar.
- 3). Look for a list of color-coded default tags--like "Work," "To-Do," "Important" and "Personal"--next to a corresponding number key, which you will use to tag messages.
- 4). Click on "Add Tag," then type in the tag name and select the color you'd like to use for that tag. The new tag will automatically be assigned the next available number key.
- 5). Edit existing tags. Go to "Tools," then "Options." Click on the "Display" icon and then the "Tags" tab. Click on the tag you'd like to change, then hit the gray "Edit" or "Delete" button.
- 6). Tag messages by simply highlighting a message in your in-box, then hitting the corresponding number for that tag, giving you a more colorful and organized in-box.
