Writing Articles When You Don"t Feel Like It

11
I write every day for a living and although I love what I do, I fully understand what it can be like to have to write when you don't feel like it.
Maybe you're tired or sick or just not in the mood.
Maybe you're burnt out for the day's activities and you just don't feel like your brain is creative enough to get that article out today.
How can you push through the wall and write articles anyway, even when you don't feel like it? Well, my first piece of advice would be to take a break if you need it.
Good work isn't going to come from a brain that's overworked.
Take some time off, watch a movie or read the newspaper.
Try something physical like going for a walk or gardening in the back yard.
When your brain is refreshed, you'll be better prepared to come back to your article.
Next, try some article templates or something that will make it easier to come up with your article title and outline without struggling so hard.
This can help anytime but especially when you're not in the mood for writing.
Try sticking to topics that you know really well or feel very passionate about.
Trying to stretch for anything else at this point will be too stressful.
Write about what you know and even allow it to sit for another day when you're feeling better to edit it, if need be.
The point is just that you try to get something written.
Lastly, don't procrastinate.
This will only make things worse when you already don't feel like writing.
The longer you wait to do something or continue to put it off, the harder it will be to write about it when the time finally does come.
Just do it and get it over with.
