How to Know If Your Relationship Is Worth Keeping or If You Should Cut Your Losses

14
Every relationship has its ups and downs.
Sure, no relationship is perfect, and no one wants to be trapped in a loveless relationship.
But there are also stories of couples who have recovered their relationship from even the most discouraging situations.
If you're not sure how to tell if your relationship is headed for disaster or if there's still something worth saving, here are a few things to keep in mind.
On your part, one way of how to know when your relationship is over is when your partner doesn't get excited when they are with you.
They may even dislike or hate things that make you happy.
This can by anything from jealousy to hatred for the simple things that bring you joy.
At this point, it isn't really a good idea to continue the relationship.
You might try talking to them first but if improvement doesn't happen or there doesn't seem to be any effort made toward a compromise, then it's best to end the relationship.
Of course, if things are the other way around, where you feel a complete disinterest or dislike toward your partner's interests, you should do the same thing.
If you are not feeling interested with whatever they are doing then it just isn't worth it anymore.
If you really love them, you can also try encouraging them into going after what they want but usually, this is something a person has to decide on by themselves (otherwise it will feel like you're pushing them).
You can also ask yourself why you are in the relationship in the first place.
If you're only in the relationship because you're lonely then this is a good sign that your relationship may not be worth keeping.
You don't have to be dependent on someone just because they are always there.
People usually stay in a bad relationship just so that they won't be lonely.
It is usually better to be alone than being in a halfhearted relationship.
Being alone and being lonely are very different.
If you are OK about being alone and can find joy and happiness in single life, then that doesn't make you incomplete.
When you're alone, try relaxing a little, closing your eyes and taking deep breaths reminding yourself how good your life is.
Lastly, you need to be aware of your partner's feelings.
We are all capable of reading a person's body language although we may not be fully conscious of it.
The way they move, smile and breathe could actually mean something more about how they feel.
These are the cues you need to understand how healthy or unhealthy your relationship is.
There are also moments when we try to fake what we feel in an effort to keep the relationship going.
Do you always put on an act with your partner? When you are with someone you love, it is only natural to be your true self.
