What Is Your Mind Chatter?

During the Read Their Minds Book Tour event in Chicago last week-end, Sandi Krakowski used a term which really caught my attention.
Mind Chatter What is mind chatter? I think it's the talk which is constantly going through our heads.
You know, the good, bad, and ugly.
The positive and negative.
For almost all of my life, my mind chatter weighed on the bad, ugly, and negative side.
I can't do that, I'm not smart enough, I'm not good enough, she won't want to go out with me.
I mean, even Sunday, I had my picture taken, and I thought, "I don't look very good.
" Even Sandi Krakowski, a self-made millionaire has negative mind chatter.
She wanted to sing a song at our last session, and she had fear of singing with a microphone, something she hasn't done in years.
She walked up and down the stage, talking to herself and getting the courage to do it.
And she did.
It was beautiful and inspiring at the same time.
Get Over Your Crap You know what Sandi told us? She had to get over her crap so she could sing.
Those are her words, get over her crap.
She was speaking my language.
Why, because I have to get over my crap.
As I mentioned, my mind chatter leaned to the negative and defeating side.
Because of the law of attraction, that type of chatter led to negative things happening in my life.
You may not believe that, but I do.
I believe I am drawn to where my thoughts go.
Negative thoughts, negative results! I now make a conscious effort to focus on my thoughts.
When a negative one gets into the mind chatter, I try real hard to dismiss it.
Seriously, I do.
"I'm like, whoa, you're there, you're outa here.
" To be honest, it keeps me busy some times, fighting off the negativity that I have let control my life.
You know what, it does make a difference.
I've noticed fewer negative things happening to me.
My confidence is increasing and I think I'm even becoming more outgoing.
Dude, this is totally crazy.
It's Work Don't get me wrong.
I still have those negative thoughts trying to dominate my mind chatter.
I'm just focused on recognizing them and telling them to go back where they came from.
It's the Dark Side that's putting those thoughts into my mind chatter, so I tell it to go back where it belongs.
Leave me alone.
What Dominates Your Mind Chatter? Is it helpful? Is it negative? Is it focused on the here and now or on the past? The negative and the past just hold you back.
Focus on the here and now and the future.
Where do you want to go? What do you want to do? Tell the negative stuff to go back where it came from.
Give it a shot.
See what happens.
I bet you'll see a difference.
If you don't, you really haven't lost anything.
Just a few negative thoughts.
That's not so bad, is it?
