How Can We Keep a J-Tube From Clogging?
- 1). Wash your hands with soap and water.
- 2). Insert the tip of the syringe into the container holding the warm water. Pull back on the plunger until the syringe is at least half full.
- 3). Attach the syringe to the end of the J-tube.
- 4). Slowly push the warm water into the tube. Be careful not to force the fluid. If the water cannot be slowly and gently pushed through the tube, contact your doctor.
- 5). Repeat the steps until the tube is clear and fluid flows easily.
