Imagine how hard it could be if that child has anxiety problems.
Many parents out there tackle this problem the wrong way.
To make things worse, sometimes they do not realize when they are calming down their anxious child; they are really making the whole situation worse rather than better.
A lot of parents who have an anxious child can do this sometimes.
Instead of putting out the fire, they are essentially adding fuel to the fire by falling victim to their own anxieties.
To help a child with anxiety, there are simple guidelines that one can follow to help their anxious child.
First of all, you need to take control of your own anxieties and emotions.
Adding your own stresses into an already fragile situation will only make your child feel worse rather than better.
So, when dealing with your anxious child, you need to stay calm.
Set a calm and reassuring tone to let your child know that you are there for him or her.
Do not just hear your child, listen to the kid.
Hearing is something you do with your ears, listening is something you do with your heart and your mind, as a parent.
By listening to your child, you are essentially striking up a fruitful and meaning conversation that can further strengthen your relationship with your kid.

Verbally expressing love and other emotions can help a child with anxiety.
Offering them comfort can also help calm them down.
Following routines, especially during the morning and at night before bedtime may also help an anxious child feel more secure.
Since there is a routine, the child will know what to expect when he wakes up and before he goes to bed.
Once he or she knows what is going to happen, he or she will feel secure.
Keep in mind that an anxious child has anxieties because of the lack of security.
But if there is security, most likely, there will be fewer anxieties.
