DHA is actually the predominant fatty acid with the EPA coming second. However it takes both of them to help your heart. Doctors believe that the fatty acids help to reduce the incidence of fatal heart attacks. Indeed just taking an Omega 3 supplement every day helps to reduce the severity of heart attacks.

How much EPA and DHA should you take to help your brain? Your brain is the biggest user of DHA fatty acids.
