How to Make the Desk Tray on My Computer Expandable
- 1). Right-click the Windows Start button, and click "Properties." This opens a Taskbar and Start Menu configuration dialog.
- 2). Click the "Taskbar" tab, and then click the "Customize ... " button in the Notification area section. This opens a Notification Area Icons window.
- 3). Look at the Icons and Behaviors section. The icons are what appear in your taskbar, and their behavior is how or when they appear. If your icons are configured to be hidden, they are expandable. If they are set to be shown, they will always appear.
- 4). Click in the drop-down menu next to each item you want expandable, and click "Hide icon and notifications."
- 5). Click the "OK" button at the bottom to save.
