How to Upgrade to Word 2003
- 1). Insert the Office 2003 installer CD. If the CD does not run automatically, click "Start," select "Computer," right-click on the CD-ROM drive and select "Run."
- 2). Select the normal install option to install the full Office suite. Click "Custom Install" to install Microsoft Word only. Enter the product key, if prompted.
- 3). Highlight "Remove Only the Following Applications" in the Previous Applications screen. Put a check mark next to Microsoft Word. Remove any check marks next to the other components, such as Outlook or Excel.
- 4). Click "OK" and allow the installer to replace your existing version of Word with Word 2003.
- 1). Insert the Microsoft Word Full or Upgrade CD into your computer. If the CD does not run automatically, click "Start," select "Computer," right-click on the CD-ROM drive and select "Run."
- 2). Select the normal install option and enter your product key, if prompted.
- 3). Click "Yes" if prompted to upgrade your current version of Microsoft Word, and let the installer run.
- 4). Reboot your computer, if prompted.
