What type of Kids Bath Towels should you look for when you next go shopping for Kids Towels

12
We all know that price is a concern for most people, but that shouldn't be your main initial focus when you next go out to buy kids bath towels for your children. What you should consider is their age, needs, size of towel required, and what kind of use you expect to get out of it. As adults we love thick, plush, soft towels, in fact there is nothing better than wrapping yourself up in one of these when you get out of the shower or bath. When it comes to kids towels, your child may want the same kind of thing, or as a parent you might want to buy them the same kind of towel you use, but it may not necessarily be the right choice.

When shopping for kids bath towels, consider the fabric, weight, construction, and last but not least, the color. Yes, color is important when you are trying to match things up from a decorating perspective, but first establish the other factors, then go look for your color of choice.

Let's firstly discuss the size of the towel. Younger children aged 2 thru 12 will not want a massive towel that is too heavy and unmanageable to work with, and as a parent, you won't either. Most standard bath towels are usually 27" x 52" which should suffice for most kids, but as they get older and bigger you may want to consider the next size up which is usually 34" x 68".

Towels are constructed in quite a few different ways, from combed and zero twist, to ringspun, terry cloth, and microfiber. Combed is one of the more common and inexpensive types, but for a kids towel suitable for ages 1 thru 12, a terry cloth is most suitable.

The construction of the towel will determine its durability, appearance, and feel. What you look for in an adult bath towel for an elegant look in your master bathroom will be different to the look and feel you will want in a kids bath towel. Younger kids in the 1-12 year old range will probably be better suited to a terry cloth towel which is absorbent due to the fact that it has been woven with extra yarn, but yet still quite lightweight and easy to manage and clean. For teenagers, you may want to consider combed or ringspun which has a plush feel and makes it easier and quicker to dry yourself.

Last but not least, and probably the most important factor of all is the type of cotton the towel is made up of. Kid's skin is normally quite sensitive especially when they are really young, so 100% cotton is a definite way to go. Not too many people know this but regular cotton towels and clothing can contain pesticides and fertilizers that can be harmful to humans, and are a result of how the cotton is grown. If you want to be extra careful and ensure with total certainty that you are buying kids towels that do not contain any fertilizers or pesticides, make sure you buy organic cotton, which in the United States has been independently tested to make sure these toxins do not exist.

Once you have established the type of kids bath towels you require, shop around on the internet to find the best deal, and the largest selection of colors available.
