How to Package a Bundt Cake
- 1). Let your Bundt cake cool completely and allow any glaze to sit long enough to harden.
- 2). Transfer the Bundt cake to a cake board. If you cannot find a cake board, make one by cutting a circle out of cardboard just larger than the cake. Covering the circle with aluminum foil.
- 3). Place the cake board and cake into the center of a flattened cake box. Assemble the cake box around the cake and tape down the lid.
- 4). Transport the cake with caution. The cake board should protect the cake from hitting the side of the cake box if it slides in transit, but it can only handle mild jostling.
- 1). Place the cooled, unfrosted Bundt cake onto a cake board. Wrap the cake and the board snuggly with plastic wrap.
- 2). Place the cake and cake board in a cake box that is only slightly larger than the cake. Put your cake glaze or frosting into a small plastic container and place it inside the box with the cake (if it fits). Fill the box with packing materials to keep the cake in place and cushion it from any impact it will encounter during shipping.
- 3). Fill your shipping box halfway with packing material and place the cake box inside. Place the frosting container on top of the box if it didn't fit inside. Fill the shipping box the rest of the way before taping it securely. The shipping box will withstand impact better than a cake box and prevent your Bundt cake from arriving to its final destination in crumbs.
