If you help homeowners decide on which mortgage is their best option, then you may want to thank them for doing business with you. Consider giving each homeowner who closes on a mortgage with you a special celebratory gift. Mortgages are a huge decision, and they sometimes can be stressful. Ease the minds of your clients and let them know you appreciate them with an inexpensive, yet thoughtful gift. - Purchase a gift card from a store or an online vendor that will help your clients settle into their new home. For example, you might consider purchasing a gift card from a home goods store, a home improvement supply store, a kitchen store or a grocery store. These are all good options for your clients to find items they will need for their new home. Purchase at least a $20 gift card.
- Closing on a mortgage means your clients suddenly have all the responsibilities of owning a home. One of the biggest hassles to home maintenance is the yard. Work out a deal with a local lawn service business to cut, weed and care for your clients’ lawn for a month. You can present this gift certificate to your clients at the official mortgage closing.
- Give clients who are refinancing their first mortgage a gift of “renewal.” Refinancing can be a very stressful decision. Consider giving your clients a gift basket that is filled with items to help them relax. Some examples might be a bottle of wine or sparkling fruit juice, a box of chocolates, fuzzy slippers, a bag of coffee, a coffee mug with your company’s logo, and a fragrant candle.
