    Exercise

    • Develop an exercise routine. Break up the type of exercise you do during the week to keep boredom at bay.For optimal results, try to perform at least 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day, whether it's taking a long walk, playing tennis or taking part in a step aerobics class. Mix it up, which means perform cardio or aerobic exercise two to three times a week, and then switch to weight-bearing exercise two days a week. To keep your muscles constantly surprised, go swimming, jogging or bicycle riding one or two days a week, or shoot hoops or go rollerblading or horseback riding just to keep exercise fun and fresh.

    Burning Fat

    • Burning fat is one of the best ways to achieve a toned body. Aim for long-term weight loss and body tone by reducing the amount of fat in your body. To burn body fat, you need to exercise to burn off extra calories. You also need to eat a healthy and well-balanced diet. To burn excess fat, fastest results occur through high intensity workouts such as kickboxing, stepping, spinning and even bike riding.

    Diet

    • Maintain a healthy diet low in sugars and fat. Stay away from the white stuff: sugar, flour, breads and sodas, and switch to brown or no-calorie drinks. Avoid high-fat foods like fast food, french fries and fried foods like chicken, vegetables or desserts. You may think a healthy diet is boring, but it doesn't have to be. Strive for at least five servings of fruits and dark, leafy vegetables a day, about 4 ounces of lean meat like chicken, fish or lean beef and about two to three servings of carbohydrates, commonly found in pastas and breads. Remember to stick to whole-wheat instead of white.
