Living Consciously
Quantum mechanics evokes a universe where the fundamental building blocks of existence are enabled in such a way as to accommodate the observer.
For example, an electron spinning in an atom can be seen at every conceivable location by multiple observers simultaneously! Defying both common sense and logic, an electron can be anywhere and everywhere when it's called upon.
Einstein's Theory of Relativity enforces this concept by proving nature treats each observer uniquely and that an accurate perception of space and time ultimately lies with the beholder.
Furthermore, the Heisenberg Principle holds that the behavior of matter can be affected merely by observing it! To "live consciously" in this universe is to live in the present and to be intimately aware of what makes up your surroundings and the effect your presence has upon it.
If you ponder it deeply, the "present" is all there really is.
The past only exists in the stored memory of the human mind.
If there were no human mind, there would be no past.
The same "illusion of time" applies to the future as well, which is but a projection of what may occur in the future present.
The present is all there is, and the most significant aspect of our awareness is the capacity to understand the concept of space.
The distance between an electron and the outer shell of an atom is proportionate to the distance between the Earth and the outer rim of the galaxy.
In reality, everything that contains matter, including the human body, is made almost entirely of empty space!Space enables all things to be.
It's the stage that showcases all life and experience and without it, nothing can exist.
Yet space, in itself, is nothing.
There is no mystical substance within it, no magical formula that spawns existence.
Since the laws of thermodynamics suggest "you can't get something from nothing", perhaps the logical conclusion is this; space is pure consciousness - an infinitely vast reservoir of knowledge and creativity and we, along with everything around us, are simply a manifestation of it.
Dwelling silently behind the industrious human mind may exist the reality of what we truly are - eternal, indestructible presence.
The universe readily responds to us because, in fact, it is us.
We are the crown jewel of life, the ultimate gift from God, and our purpose as intellectual beings is to simply accept this reality and embrace our role as the divine facilitators of a blossoming universe.
