What Can Thicken Hair Density?
- 1). Bend over at the waist, so your head is facing the ground when you blow dry. This will flip your hair over at the root. Pushing hair in the opposite direction from how it normally hangs will add volume.
- 2). Insert your fingers near the roots and pull your hair up while blow drying. Repeat this process as you dry each section of your hair. It should be a constant motion -- pulling hair up with one hand while the other dries it with the blower. Stop drying when your hair is still slightly damp.
- 3). Dab a volumizing styling product, such as gel or mousse, on your finger tips. Slide your fingers along the scalp to cover the roots. Pull up to spread the product over the hair shafts.
- 4). Curl your hair with larger rollers while it is still slightly damp. Allow it to finish air drying while in the rollers.
- 5). Take a dietary supplement containing biotin -- vitamin H -- a common element found in multivitamins. There is some evidence that biotin may help reinforce hair growth.
