Japanese Decor

If you would like to do something new to your home, you might want to consider a Japanese décor.
There are many advantages to a Japanese décor and the best part of all is that it is not hard to do if you understand the basic rules and it also does not require a substantial investment of time or money.
One of the most noticeable features of a Japanese décor is the use of black and white as main colors.
If other colors are used at all then it is only to emphasize a certain object or point of the room.
The color white is the basic color and black is used to complement it, and although black is such a dominating color, it does not seem that way in a room decorated in Japanese style.
Black is bold and is primarily used as a way of defining geometric forms, a very important part of Japanese design.
Japanese décor does not make use of many, vivid colors nor does it require a lot of furniture.
The Japanese design is meant to relay the feelings of serenity and tranquility and that is why a messy, cluttered look is absolutely forbidden.
Preferred are a couple of basic items, such as chairs and table.
Once again, geometry is important here and the furniture only has straight lines to offer instead of a lot of curving.
A low lying, black lacquer table is the preferred choice to fit into the Japanese décor.
Other furniture objects may very likely be wicker with white cushioning.
The floors are almost natural wood and bamboo flooring is most suitable for achieving an eastern flair to your newly decorated room.
