Prevent and Treat Hearing Loss With Natural Remedies

46
Hearing loss makes communication a real problem and reduces the amount of useful information that we receive from the environment.
Fortunately, hearing is rarely completely lost.
Many of this condition's causes, such as wax plugs, are easily preventable, while others are treated with natural remedies and therapies.
There are 2 types of deafness: from conductive and sensorineural causes.
Conductive hearing loss occurs when sound waves from the outside world no longer reach the inner ear, usually due to a blockage in the outer ear canal or due to problems of the eardrum or middle ear.
In case of sensorineural hearing loss, sounds reach the inner ear, but do not make it to the brain due to a disorder of the inner ear or auditory nerve, which can be caused by old age, arterial disease (which reduces blood supply to the auditory nerve) and prolonged exposure to excessive noise.
(above 85 decibels).
A sudden noise or prolonged - at your workplace or at a rock concert - can damage the delicate endings of the auditory nerve.
It is believed that one of the reasons could be the sudden increase of unstable oxygen molecules, called free radicals, as a result of exposure to loud noise.
Some medicine can also affect hearing.
Most common causes of conductive hearing loss include middle ear inflammation, a boil in the outer ear and gathered wax in the ear canal.
Other causes are: maintaining a thick fluid in the inner ear due to an infection, Ménière's disease and aging.
Temporary deafness, during a plane flight, is caused by changes of air pressure in the middle ear and throat, when taking off and landing, worsened by the blocking of Eustachian tubes due to allergies or infections.
How to prevent hearing loss It's recommended to increase the resistance to infections and allergies, regulate fluid balance in the body, fight artery diseases and premature aging.
This means a healthy diet, with a lot of wheat cereal, fruits, vegetables and low sugar content, refined carbohydrates and salt.
Exercise every day, and if you smoke, it would be better to quit.
If you suffer from allergic rhinitis or Ménière's disease try to discover the triggering factors and treat them.
Avoid loud, sudden or prolonged noises.
If you don't hear someone that's talking directly to you or when your ears are ringing, and then common sounds seem muffled, consider them clues which point out that the level of decibels is so high, that it may affect your hearing.
If you can't avoid the noises, use ear plugs or other means of protection and take an antioxidant supplement a few days before.
They will neutralize the harmful effects of free radicals on the ear.
How to treat hearing loss Age-related hearing loss Try to slow the hearing deterioration process by following a diet that will maintain your arteries and ear nerves healthy.
Take antioxidant and magnesium supplements for two weeks after exposure to loud noise.
