Set Up Media Center the First Time

• 1). Click the "Start" button on your computer screen. Type "Windows Media Center" into the "Start Search" box at the bottom of the Start menu. Click on "Windows Media Center" to open it.
  
  
• 2). Click "Continue" to begin the setup if you have never used or set up Windows Media Center in Vista.
  
  
• 3). Click "Express" to set up Media Center using the options that Windows recommends.
  
  
• 4). Wait for the setup to finish and close or use Windows Media Center.
  
  

Set Up Media Center with Custom Settings

• 1). Open Windows Media Center as instructed in the section 1.
  
  
• 2). Click "Tasks" in the list of options. Select "Settings" and then go to "General."
  
  
• 3). Choose "Windows Media Center Setup." Click "Run Setup Again" and then click "Yes" to continue.
  
  
• 4). Select "Custom" and then click Next. Choose any options you want to set up. Click "Next."
  
  
• 5). Follow the steps to customize your selected options. Click "Finish" when the setup is complete.
