How to Look Like a Doll
- 1). Dot and blend an oil-free moisturizer on a clean face. After about five minutes, press a facial tissue all over your face to lift away excess product. Dot a makeup primer onto the center of your face, blending outward. Prepping your skin for makeup is necessary for a fresh complexion throughout the day.
- 2). Groom your brows. Tweeze the strays outside of your brow line and between your brows over the bridge of your nose. Trim any hairs that extend past the brow line as well. Fill in brows with brow color slightly lighter than your brow hairs if they are dark and slightly darker than your brow hairs if they are light. Use soft short strokes to simulate the appearance of fine hairs. Clean brows are essential when creating a doll-like look for seemingly wider open eyes.
- 3). Apply a matte foundation for flawless skin without a hint of shine. If you have dry skin, use a liquid foundation that dries to a matte finish to give your skin some hydration that a typical powder base will not be able to provide. Dot and blend a creamy concealer under your eyes and on the inner corners of your eyes by the bridge of your nose to camouflage any darkness there.
- 4). Smooth an eye primer from lash line to brow bone. When the primer absorbs, apply an eyeshadow base, also from lash line to brow bone. Even if you choose to skip eyeshadow for the day, prepping your eyes for makeup brightens the area and helps you look fresh and well-rested. Dust a translucent powder all over your face to set your foundation, concealer and eye base.
- 5). Curl your eyelashes to give your eyes a wider-open look. Apply a lengthening mascara in black for long lashes that frame your eyes attractively. Dislodge any clumps with your mascara wand to keep your eye makeup clean and not overdone. To increase your resemblance to a doll, you may add false eyelashes to thicken the fringe on your upper eyelids (see Resources for application tips). Blend a flesh-tone highlight eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes for a doe-eyed look. Bring more light to your eyes and make them look even larger with a creamy, shimmery silver or flesh-tone eyeliner applied on the bottom rims of your eyes.
- 6). Give yourself a natural but long-lasting flush by using a cheek and lip stain that is only slightly more intense than your own coloring. You want to keep your blush and lip color healthy but understated to put your doll eyes in the spotlight. On cheeks, blend the stain onto the apples for a pop of color, buffing away any hard lines in your application for a seamless finish. Apply the stain to the center of your lips, blending outward. Top your lip color with just a hint of clear lip gloss to get a juicy pout.
