The Little Tikes shopping cart took the stress out of going to the store with my 2 1/2 year old son.
My son really likes going shopping with me and I wanted to take him, but he was always grabbing things from the shelves.
This made for a very stressful trip for me.

Instead of reaching for things on the shelves he his busy pushing his own cart.
I let him put his fruit snacks and juice boxes in his own cart so he feels like he is shopping too.
I am not sure who is happier now, me or my son.
When we are at home, my son puts his bear in the front seat of the cart.
He tells everyone that now his bear gets to ride in the cart, just like he used to do when we went shopping.
He even goes around the house, picks up his toys and puts them in the cart.
I really like that he uses his Little Tikes shopping cart to clean up his toys, even though he doesn't look at it like that.
I will set up some groceries around the house so he can go shopping all alone.
He loves to go around and pick out the different foods and put them in is Little Tikes shopping cart.
I use this time as a learning experience.
I will ask him to go to the store and only get all the red food or the green food.
He doesn't realize it, but he is learning all of his colors this way.
Next, I am going to have him shop by letters.
When my sons' friends are over, they like to go shopping together.
