How to Run "X-COM: Terror From the Deep" on a 64 Bit
- 1). Download and install "DOSBox" (see Resources). DOSBox is an x386 emulator that simulates the environment needed by older DOS games to run correctly. This process will only take a few minutes to accomplish.
- 2). Launch DOSBox once it has finished installing. A new window will appear on your screen with the MS-DOS prompt showing.
- 3). Type "Mount X X:\" into the prompt, replacing "X" with the letter of the drive where your "X-COM: Terror From the Deep" installation is located. If your installation is located on the "D:" drive, for instance, type in "Mount D D:\" and then press "Enter."
- 4). Type "X:" and press "Enter," replacing "X" with the drive letter in the previous step.
- 5). Type in "CD\X," where "X" is the install path of your "Terror From the Deep" installation. For example, if it is installed in "D:\Games\TFTD," type in "CD\Games\TFTD" and press "Enter."
- 6). Type the name of the "Terror From the Deep" launch file into the prompt, and then press "Enter." If the file is named "Start.exe," for instance, type that file name and press "Enter." This will launch the game.
