How to Clean Mold From Cinder Blocks
- 1). Prepare the area for cleanup. Put on goggles, rubber gloves and an N-95 particle mask. Open any windows for ventilation, if possible.
- 2). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon cold water and 1 cup chlorine bleach. You can pour some of the solution into a spray bottle for ease of use.
- 3). Spray the moldy cinder blocks with the bleach solution, or dip a scrub brush into the bucket and scrub the blocks. Apply more solution as you clean, and keep scrubbing until the mold is gone. Allow the bleach solution to sit and dry, or you can rinse it.
- 4). Rinse the bleach solution with clean water. Empty the bucket and rinse it out completely. Fill it with clean water and use a cloth to wipe down the blocks and remove the bleach solution.
- 5). Allow the cinder blocks to air dry. Turn on any fans and ventilate the area to aid in the drying process.
