• Church guilds can work together to make a real difference in the lives of low-income families and individuals who are facing hunger. In order to host the drive, the entire congregation should be notified of the meeting date and time when donations can be dropped off. The guild can arrange to drop donations off to a local charity or host an event to feed individuals at the church.
  
  

Plan an Arts And Crafts Night

• Integrating arts and crafts into a regular meeting will spark the interest of members of all ages. Guild members can host stations for different crafts. Once the guild has decided on the focus of the craft night, each member should sign up for a task. Craft fairs are fun and cost very little money to organize. With enough preparation, members can contact a local craft supply store for donations.
  
  

Organize a Book Exchange

• Book exchanges are a fantastic way for members to mix books with mingling. Often, guild meetings are solely focused on church matters and a book exchange can be an opportunity for members to connect on a more personal level. Books can be sold or exchanged and members can meet congregation members who have similar interests.
  
  

Invite a Guest Speaker

• Speakers can be found by visiting your local speaker's bureau. Speakers can educate guild members on a variety of topics. The guest speaker evening can be used as a fundraiser or just a social activity for guild and congregation members. The speakers do not have to have a religious platform, members could benefit from speakers well versed in fitness, finance and a host of other topics.
