How to Install a Temperature Sender for a 1966 Mustang
- 1). Place the drain pan under the radiator drain. Open the drain using the pliers and allow the radiator antifreeze to drain. Close the drain and tighten slightly with the pliers.
- 2). Remove the electrical wire from the top of the sender. The sender will be located either on the top front of the intake manifold next to the thermostat housing or on the driver's side of the block below the exhaust manifold.
- 3). Remove the sensor using a wrench to turn it counterclockwise. Install the new sender by threading it in clockwise and tightening it with a wrench. Install the electrical connector on the top of the sender. Fill the radiator with antifreeze.
