Stereotypes

• There are a few characteristics and physical traits that are commonly associated with Polish women. They are often given a stereotype as being good domestic workers who can cook and clean well. Physical stereotypes sometimes include beautiful and tall women.
  
  

Work

• There is gender stratification in the Polish work sector, with a greater number of unemployment and lower levels of pay for women compared with men. Women are known to more commonly perform what is known as "the second shift," which includes managing a job as well as housework, cooking and shopping.
  
  

Status

• In Poland, women live in a male-oriented society, with limited access to jobs, credit and leadership positions. However, it is not uncommon for a Polish woman to own and run her own farm.
