St. Catherine's Monastery is nestled in the foothills of Mount Sinai. It is about a three hour drive from Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on the Red Sea.

After driving for about three hours, we reached St. Catherine's Monastery. The rest of the pictures in this Sinai Desert Photo Gallery were taken on our return trip, and include a photo of St. Catherine's Tourist Village where we had lunch, and of a Bedouin village where we stopped to make pictures and shop for local wares.
