Amateur Boxing Rules
- Boxers can not fight until they have reached the age of 10 and will no longer be allowed to fight after the age of 34.
- Most boxers will fight three two-minute rounds, but these rounds can be modified upon agreement of the fighters.
- A boxer is classified as a junior from the age of 11 to the age of 17. After the age of 17, a boxer will be classified as a senior. After a senior level boxer has won a regional title, they can be classified as an open class boxer.
- Junior boxers can not fight against an opponent that is more than 12 months older or younger than them.
- A senior novice that is 17 years old can fight a 16-year-old junior boxer as long as there is not more than 12 months in age difference.
