How to Create a Horse Business Card

36
    • 1). Design the layout of your business card, using either a pen and a piece of paper or your computer. If you have a word processing program on your PC, use it to lay out the text of your card. Leave a space as a placeholder for any photographs or graphics you plan to include.

    • 2). Add your full name and contact information to the card design. Many barn owners and horse trainers prefer to leave their farm addresses off their business cards for security reasons, but it is important to list an email address, phone number and cell phone number if applicable.

    • 3). Choose your text carefully and make sure it fits with the type of equine business you are promoting. For instance, the business card of a horse trainer could emphasize his belief in natural horsemanship, while the business card of a boarding facility might emphasize full-care board. The business card for a farrier could indicate that the farrier specializes in corrective shoeing, while the business card for a riding instructor could say "adults welcome."

    • 4). Find a suitable picture to use on your horse business cards. If you are a horse trainer, a picture of you and a horse you trained in the winner's circle at a big show is sure to get attention. If you run a boarding stable, a picture of the facility on the card says a lot.

    • 5). Log on to an online business card retailer if you plan to create and order your business cards over the Internet. Cut and paste the text you have created in your word processing package into the business card template. Add any additional formatting, such as bold print and italics, to the business card and preview the card to make sure it looks good.

    • 6). Browse to the location on your computer containing the photograph you plan to use on your horse business card. Preview the picture to make sure the quality is acceptable. Complete the card creation process and order your cards.

    • 7). Take the text of your proposed business card and a copy of the photo you plan to use to your local office supply store or printer if you do not want to order the cards online. Review a proof of the card before placing the final order.
