Homemade Deer Food With Plants
- 1). Use a food processor to grind each ingredient individually except the hay, which you will leave intact.
- 2). Add the wet, grated plant materials to a large bucket.
- 3). Line the bottom of a large feeding trough with about 5 lbs. of hay. Any type of feeding hay, such as alfalfa, will do
- 4). Pour the grated plant slop on top of the hay in the trough.
- 5). Use a pitchfork or leaf rake to mix the contents of the trough together. Make sure to fully disperse the grated plants with the dry hay bits. Th plants attract the deer and the apple chunks provide a sweet addition to the rest of the ingredients.
