How to Change a Fuel Filter on a Honda Odyssey
- 1). Crawl under the van near the rear bumper and locate the gas tank (large metal tublike protrusion). Find the gas line running from the end of the gas tank toward the front of the vehicle.
- 2). Follow the gas line until you locate a clear plastic apparatus, which is the fuel filter.
- 3). Pry the filter from the fuel filter mount with the screwdriver; then use the pliers to pull the tubes off the ends of the fuel filter.
- 4). Slide the gas line onto the proper sides of the new fuel filter and then slide the filter back into the mount.
- 5). Start the car up, turning the key to "Accessories On" for 3 to 5 seconds first and then turn the car the rest of the way on. This allows the fuel pump to prime the gas line prior to the engine firing.
