How to Hide a Large Pipe

15
    • 1). Hide your large pipe with a room divider such as a Japanese shoji screen. This method works for large pipes that come out of the floor or run along a length or height of wall. Room dividers often contain three to four panels, so the width makes them idea for hiding large pipes.

    • 2). Build a wood covering for the large pipe. Measure the length, width and height of the pipe and cut pieces of plywood large enough to cover the area. Make a three-sided cover if the pipe abuts the wall, or a four-sided box if the pipe juts out from the floor. Paint the covering to match the existing wall color, and slip it into place over the large pipe.

    • 3). Conceal a large pipe that sits against a wall by covering it with a curtain or piece of fabric. Install a curtain rod that contains brackets that extend far from the wall to accommodate the large pipe. Place the fabric or curtain onto the rod to hide the pipe.

    • 4). Place a radiator cover over a thick pipe that juts from the floor. Radiator covers easily slip on and off for pipe access. Measure the height and width of the pipe before purchasing the cover to ensure you get a proper size.

    • 5). Put a large, solid bookshelf or other piece of furniture in front of the large pipe to block it from view.
