35
An age-old saying, "Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise," has lost its relevance or importance in today's changing lifestyle around the world.
It is no more possible to go 'early to bed'.
Why? Many reasons influence it : late night parties, television, internet, late dinner, movies and many other.
Let's look deep in this issue.
Who are the ones who burn the midnight oil : 1.
The school and college going students who keep awake till early morning to complete their home-works, notes, learning as they have heavy and lengthy syllabus to struggle with.
2.
Students who are preparing themselves for tough competitive examinations.
3.
That group of people who are competing or want to compete in the highly competitive world.
4.
The high flyers (top businessmen or top executives) who attend meetings to discuss on policies and issues relevant to their work, return home late.
5.
Expectant mothers who keep awake (when they need a good sleep) due to various childbirth related problems.
6.
Politicians and bureaucrats who hardly get any time to sleep.
So, it is very clearly noticed that in present days, life has shifted far beyond the so-called 'going home at 6pm' and night life is playing an equally important role as day life.
Then, the question arises - why should we get up early? But then we have to because of the following reasons : 1.
Students have to get up early, get ready and go off to school by 6.
30 - 7.
00 am.
2.
The mother or eldest lady of the house has to get up early to start the preparations for breakfast followed by lunch.
Not only this, they also have to get up early to follow their daily routine of sweeping, cleaning, washing, etc.
3.
Working women have to get up even earlier as they have to finish all their work by 8 am and leave for work.
4.
The father or the males in the house have to get up early to get ready for office.
Off to bed very late and getting up very early results in a steep dip in the efficient performance level of a person.
It has also been researched out that newspapers should not be read in the morning because all the good news along with the worst news stay in our head the whole day and keeps popping up at the wrong times that is, when we are totally engrossed in our work.
According to a report, it has also been found that the early risers are more stressed out than those who rise late and suffer from muscular aches, cold and worst are headaches.
To sum up, go to bed early if you have to get up early or vice-versa.
