How to Fix the Rocket Fishing Rod
- 1). Completely wipe down the body of the Rocket Fishing Rod as well as the inside of the launch tube. Use a damp rag to remove any dirt or debris that may have accumulated and interfere with the operation of the Rocket Rod.
- 2). Wind the line back onto the spool by turning the handle of the reel. If the line will not wind, grasp the line in front of the launch tube with your hand. Apply tension to the line and wind the line onto the reel.
- 3). Check the launch tube of the Rocket Fishing Rod. Look for signs of tangled or snarled line inside the tube of the Rocket Rod. If the projectile float is not launching properly, pull on the line to advance it from the spool. If the line will not advance, remove the reel from the Rocket Fishing Rod assembly.
- 4). Remove the front spool cover from the reel. Inspect the spool to determine if there are any tangles or if the line is dug into the spool. Unwind the line to free twists and tangles. Replace the spool cover, place the reel back into the body of the Rocket Rod and wind the line onto the reel.
- 5). Apply a few drops of reel oil to the handle and crank of the reel. Place a few drops of oil at the point where the handle connects to the crank and the crank to the body of the reel. Turn the reel to determine if any resistance or noise remains.
