How to Insert a Picture in PowerPoint 2007

    • 1). Open PowerPoint 2007, click the "File" tab and click "Open." Browse to the PowerPoint presentation to add a picture into and double-click the file name, opening it in the PowerPoint workspace.

    • 2). Scroll through the slide deck on the left side of the screen, which has a representation of each slide. Double-click the slide to receive the picture and the slide opens on the main panel of the screen. To insert a picture onto a new slide, click once on a slide to highlight it and press the "Enter" key on the keyboard, which adds a new, blank slide to the deck.

    • 3). Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the screen. Click the "Picture" button on the toolbar below the tab to open a navigation window. Navigate to the picture to add and double-click the file name. The picture is added to the slide.

    • 4). Drag the picture into place as preferred and repeat the process to add more pictures.
