How to Disable the Blocked Start Up Programs Prompt on Vista
- 1). Locate the "Windows has blocked some startup programs" icon in your system tray. The system tray is located in your Windows Vista task bar next to the clock. The icon looks like a program window with a red slash running through it.
- 2). Right-click the icon. Click "Run Blocked Program" from the list. Select "System Configuration Utility" from the pop-up menu. Click "OK" or "Continue" for any prompts that appear.
- 3). Left-click the box next to "Don't show this message or start System Configuration when Windows starts." Click "OK" to save your changes. Reboot the computer to ensure that the changes have taken effect and the "Blocked Start-Up Programs" prompt does not appear.
