How to Replace the Headlamp Bulb for a 2005 Honda Accord
- 1). Turn the wheels as far inwards as they can go. Remove the two holding clips from the inner fender with a flat-tip screwdriver.
- 2). Remove the inner fender cover away from the bumper and fender.
- 3). Pull the bulb out by rotating it counterclockwise. Remove the electrical harness from the bulb by pushing in on the lock tab. Attach the harness to the new bulb, making sure to use a clean cloth to install it.
- 4). Place the bulb back into the assembly and rotate it clockwise. Reattach the inner fender cover and the two accompanying clips.
- 1). Raise the hood. If replacing the passenger's side headlamp, be sure to remove the engine coolant reservoir by pulling it out of its slot.
- 2). Remove the electrical harness from the bulb by pushing in on the tab to unlock it and sliding the connector off of the bulb. Remove the bulb by rotating it counterclockwise.
- 3). Install the replacement bulb with a clean cloth and reattach the electrical harness.
- 4). Test the headlights to make sure they are functioning properly.
- 5). Replace the engine coolant reservoir if necessary and close the hood.
