How to Convert CC to Horsepower for a Snowblower
- 1). Find the CC rating on the side of the engine for the snow blower engine. Generally there is a small metal plate with the information. It may read “318 cc,” for example.
- 2). Divide the CC rating of the engine by 16.38. In our example, the HP result will be 318 divided by 16.38. The result is 19.41.
- 3). Understand that many factors play a role in the final HP rating of the engine: how well that engine is properly tuned; the age of the engine; and the type of fuel used for the combustion of power. The actual RPM (rotations per minute) of the engine plays a large role in the final output power.
