Amongst the different categories of mowers available, the two most popular ones are the wired and the cordless mower.
These are the two lawn mower categorizations based on the type of machine that is used to mow the lawns.
When the lawn mowers were being developed, it is seen that the need for a sustained source of energy was an important criteria in building a device that has to run over a grass surface to cover it in totality.
If the power diminishes, then the speed of rotation of the blades will also diminish and the grass will not be trimmed evenly.
One of the most important amongst these mower designs is the design of the wired mower which would be relatively quieter than its petrol engine counterpart and because it will use electricity, it will be a device that will be more deft and efficient.
These electricity run devices have not been designed to work on rough terrains and have their engines designed for lesser knocking and hence a more efficient use of the power being drawn.
However, the wire attached to a mower is a bit cumbersome especially when you have to change direction or have turned around and head beck in the direction of the mains, these wires can come in the way, or be cut by the blades and might cause harm to the blades in the process too.
Also, these mowers have a limited range.
Their area of working is limited to the radius from the mains till the farthest point from them.
There is a viable substitution for the lawn mowers that bear the characteristics above and helps eliminate most of the issues that have been seen with the corded mowers.
There are in fact two forms of the cordless mower.
Both these forms run on engines, if we were not to consider the manual driven mowers, which also is wire free.
These mowers are the gasoline engine lawn mowers and the battery run lawn mowers.
The cordless mower eliminate the need of chords to prevent the area of coverage.
