How to Assemble a Candy Bouquet
- 1). Cut the stick off each of the lollipops using scissors. Make each cut just below where the wrapper of the lollipop stops.
- 2). Place one end of the thin-gauge wire at the base of the lollipop. Wrap the end around the stick and twist the wire against itself to secure it. You may need to use needle nose pliers to accomplish this. Pull the wire down along the stick until it is approximately 6 inches long and cut it using scissors.
- 3). Place two or three artificial flower accent strands together and place a piece of thin-gauge wire alongside the stems. Cut the wire using scissors so that it is the same length as the stems. Place a piece of green floral tape at the top of the stem bunch and wrap it around the stems in an overlapping fashion until reaching the bottom. Cut the floral tape with scissors and press the end against the stems.
- 4). Cut off the stem of each wire-stemmed artificial flower using scissors, approximately 6 inches from the base of the flower.
- 5). Hold one artificial rose in your hand and fold down the outermost layers of petals toward the stem. Use scissors to cut out the center petals from the rose. Place a small dot of glue in the center of each rose and glue a piece of hard candy to the rose. Allow the glue to dry for two to three minutes and fold the outer layers of the rose back up around the candy. Repeat the process with five or six additional roses.
- 1). Pick up all of the lollipop sticks and hold them in one hand. Arrange them in a somewhat circular pattern so that they have an attractive appearance.
- 2). Wrap the artificial foliage along the outside of the lollipop circle and continue until there is a solid layer of leaves surrounding the lollipops.
- 3). Insert five artificial flowers into the lollipops, making sure that at least one or two lollipops are between each flower.
- 4). Insert the hard candy roses into the bouquet in various locations.
- 5). Insert the accent bunches into several top areas of the arrangement and fill in any bare spots with additional leaves.
- 6). Wrap the base of the bouquet with thin-gauge wire to hold all the stems firmly together. Wrap the end of the wire against itself and twist the ends together with needle nose pliers to secure. Cut the wire with scissors.
- 7). Cut all of the stems in the handle to a length of 6 inches. Place a piece of floral tape at the top of the stem and wrap it around the stem all the way to the bottom, overlapping the edges as you wrap. Cut the floral tape at the bottom using scissors and press the end against the stem.
- 8). Attach silk bows to the bottom of the arrangement by tying them around the base. Place one pre-made bow on either side of the arrangement and fluff out the bows so that they merge together.
