How to Clean a Chainsaw Fuel Line
- 1). Locate the fuel line, running from the side of the carburetor to the base of the gas tank on the chainsaw.
- 2). Squeeze the clamps holding the ends of the fuel line on with pliers. Squeeze the clamps and slide them down the fuel line several inches. Pull the gas line off. Position a bucket under the gas tank to catch any old gas.
- 3). Hold the fuel line over the gas bucket. Poke the nozzle on the carburetor cleaner into each end of the fuel line and spray each end for 10 seconds. This will get any debris out of the fuel filter located in the center of the fuel line.
- 4). Clamp the fuel line back into place on the chainsaw.
