Step 1: In a single sentence, summarize the entire article.

You don't know whether the visitor will finish reading the entire article or not.
So it make sense to try and communicate the key message quickly in just one sentence.
This is assuming that your summary is at the beginning of the article.
What if your summary is at the end of the article? Does this key sentence help? The answer is yes.
After reading the entire article, the reader may be feeling confused.
Having a strong sentence to sum up everything will help the reader understand the key idea in the article.
Step 2: State all the key ideas in the summary paragraph.
Besides the key idea, there are usually several other ideas in a single article.
In a clear and simple manner, write down all the relevant ideas that you have included in the article.
Do not use complicated words or run-on sentences.
Always remember - a good summary must be simple, clear and concise.
Otherwise, it will just confuse or mislead the reader.
Step 3: Finish the summary paragraph in no more than 5 sentences.
You don't need more than 5 sentences in the summary paragraph.
You should be able to convey all the key ideas in just a few short sentences.
