How Do I Get To Sleep Better At Night?

47
Sleep and rest are indeed two of the most wonderful gifts given to man.
It is when we rest that our body heals and repairs itself.
Sad to say a lot of people today are not getting the kind of sleep they need.
Lack of sleep can result to a lot of physical and mental problems, that's how important sleep is.
A change of lifestyle can actually result in you getting the kind of sleep you want.
If you want to have a regular sleeping pattern, start to establish one yourself.
You are the only person who can decide on the times that you want to sleep.
For the next few weeks, try to sleep as early as 10 o'clock in the evening and wake up at around 6 o'clock in the morning.
This will help your body establish a good sleep cycle.
Just like when exercising you need to warm-up before going to sleep.
Put yourself in a position of getting ready to sleep an hour before going to bed.
Doing this regularly will condition your brain and body to relax at the right time of your sleep schedule.
Avoid watching television or using the computer an hour before you turn off the lights as this will cause your mind to wander resulting in difficulty of sleeping.
Your eating habit during the day can also greatly affect your sleep at night.
Avoid a heavy dinner if you want to sleep soundly.
Having a light meal three to four hours before going to bed is advisable.
If you have low tolerance for caffeine, don't drink more than one cup of coffee or any stimulant at day time since it will cause you to stay up past your sleep time.
Exercise is a good factor to consider if you want to sleep well at night, just make sure you don't perform heavy workout routines a few hours before bedtime.
Don't drink too much water too before going to sleep or you'll find yourself waking up almost every hour to head to the toilet.
The most important thing of all is that you keep your bedroom a perfect place to rest and sleep.
Dim lighting, soft mattress and pillows are all you need.
As much as possible, reserve your bed for sleeping and being intimate with your spouse alone.
