How to Crochet Little Pocket Animals
- 1). Crochet the animal's head. To do this, make three chain stitches, then join them with a slip stitch to form a ring. Make one chain and then make five single crochet stitches inside the ring, then join with a slip stitch. Make one chain and make two single crochet stitches in every stitch around, then join with a slip stitch. Make one chain and make one single crochet in every stitch around, then join with a slip stitch. Repeat this last round three more times, then make one chain and single crochet two together all the way around, then join with a slip stitch.
- 2). Crochet the animal's neck and shoulders. Make one chain and single crochet in every stitch around, then join with a slip stitch. Make one chain and put two single crochets in every stitch around, then join with a slip stitch. Fill the head portion of the toy with stuffing material.
- 3). Crochet the animal's body. Make one chain and single crochet in every stitch around, then join with a slip stitch. Repeat this for 10 more rounds. Fill the body with stuffing material. Make one chain and single crochet two together all the way around, then cut the working yarn and pull tightly to close the body. Thread this yarn tail onto an embroidery needle and weave it in and out of the stitches around the bottom of the body to close the hole entirely.
- 4). Crochet the animal's ears. Make three chain stitches, then single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in the chain after that. Make one chain and turn, then single crochet two together. Cut the working yarn and make a slip stitch. Repeat this step to make a second ear.

- 5). Use an embroidery needle and some spare yarn in contrasting colors to stitch eyes and a mouth onto the animal's head.
