Can Women Get Pregnant During Their Period? Yes!

22
Can women get pregnant during their period? This argument has been waged during the last several years as the fight goes back and forth on whether or not this can actually happen.
Since every female is different from one another, this includes her hormone balance which in turn affects her period cycles, there is no exact science saying when a woman is fertile and when one is not.
Each individual physiology is the determining factor for each woman.
So yes, during her period, a woman can get pregnant.
It really does not matter what you believe will or will not happen during your period.
There is always the chance of getting pregnant during unprotected sex, no matter what time of the month it is.
At the beginning of a woman's period, the chances of becoming pregnant are significantly lower than say at the end of her period and the chances increase from the moment her period starts and onward.
There has been research done recently by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that suggests that women can become pregnant at basically any time during their cycle and therefore it really is not safe to have unprotected sex if they are not planning on wanting to be pregnant.
The chances of getting pregnant never go away at anytime during the month, even during the woman's menstrual cycle.
To avoid getting pregnant, some couples use the rhythm method.
The rhythm method is a good way to predict periods of fertility, but it really is not all that good at predicting the times when the chance of getting pregnant is at its lowest.
Some researchers completely discount the rhythm method saying that couples use the rhythm method have about the same chance of not getting pregnant as those couples that are having completely unprotected sex.
Day one of a woman's cycle is the first day of her period.
A woman's most fertile period comes between days ten and seventeen.
But, this is only if the woman's cycle is very regular and is a twenty-eight day cycle and if she ovulates during the fourteenth day.
There are many women that do not fit into this regular cycle schedule.
Out of all the women out there, thirty percent actually fit into this ideal situation.
Even if a woman claims to be very regular, their ovulation period can change from month to month.
There really is no safe way to say when it is safe for all women to have sex without protection at anytime during the month since each woman is fertile at different times during the month and it varies from month to month.
Women nearing menopause and teenage girls are usually the two groups of females that least desire becoming pregnant.
But, they are the ones with the most irregular cycles making it very hard to predict the time of the month when they will ovulate.
This means that they are at the highest risk at becoming pregnant with during sex without protection.
Also, irregular cycles can be contributed to thyroid disease.
Yes, during her menstrual cycle, a woman can get pregnant.
Why? Because of each woman's physiological make-up and hormonal balance that is purely unique to her body.
There is just no way to tell for sure when it is safe to have sex without protection throughout the month.
So, in short, if sex is what you will be doing, protection must be used.
