Why Aren"t You Using the Best Faucet Water Filter?
It almost sort of frustrates me sometimes when I hear people say that they see absolutely no need for a faucet water filter.
It bothers me simply because I know what the impurities in our water supply can do to your health, and I also know that faucet water filters can be instrumental in protecting you from that.
The reason that I am so adamant about the need for a faucet water filter is because there are literally thousands of dangerous chemicals that are reaching our reservoirs through the groundwater system, and of these there are at least 2,100 documented chemicals that are known to be carcinogens.
Drinking from taps not protected by faucet water filters can cause you serious harm, but many people don't seem to take this fact seriously.
They seem to think that the water treatment facilities and the EPA have everything absolutely under control, but nothing could be further from the truth.
The fact that a spokesman for the National Resources Defense Council was quoted as saying that, "Drinking water plants are old and out of date, and water supplies are increasingly threatened by and contaminated by chemicals and microorganisms", tells me that I need a faucet water filter.
Or how about a 1995 report Science Advisory Report to the EPA that stated that, "When two or more of these (chemical) contaminants combine in our water, the potency of each may be increased as much as 1,000 times.
" Whether you like it or not faucet water filters are a necessary part of our lives.
If you look at just the infusion of chlorine alone into our water supply it justifiable to say that you need a faucet water filter.
What many people seem to forget is that even though it has a purpose as a disinfectant it was still known as one of the deadliest nerve gases ever to be used.
It is also a known carcinogen.
Scientists actually blame the dramatic rise in cancer cases over the last century on the chemicals in our water supply, most specifically chlorine.
Our constant consumption of water tainted with this chemical for the last 100 years has caused the cancer rates to explode.
This furthers the argument for faucet water filters.
Even if you still don't think that you need a faucet water filter for your own sake, I hope that if you have children you will reconsider.
You can't take a chance on being wrong with your children's health at stake, and just because you haven't developed cancer or something else from drinking water up to this point doesn't guarantee that you won't.
You truly need faucet water filters if you want to protect the health of you and your family.
