How to Get Copies of Your W2's
- 1). Ask your employer if the company you work for is enrolled in an online W-2 program. If so, ask for the website and codes needed to access the website. Open your Internet browser and visit the website. Enter the access codes and all required information and follow onscreen prompts that lead you to the page where you can view the W-2 form. Download and print a copy of the form.
- 2). Open the website of W-2Express. Enter your employer's name or access code in the space provided and hit the "Go" button to initiate the search process. You can also enter the first letter of the name of your employer to view a list of all registered companies whose names start with the letter you entered. Look for your employer's name in the list and click on the name. Enter the required information in the succeeding windows, then navigate to the page where you can view your W-2 form. Download the file and print it.
- 3). Ask your employer if the company is enrolled with ADP payroll system. If the company is enrolled in this automated payroll processing system, ask your employer for the pass code given to employees. Visit the ADP website and enter the passcode and all necessary information in the succeeding pages to navigate to the page where you can view your W-2 form. Download the file in your computer and print a copy.
- 4). Visit the Rapid Tax website. Click on "Current Year W2's Online" if you need copies of your W-2 for the current tax period. Click on "Prior Year W2's 2001-2009 Online" if you need a W-2 copy from previous tax periods. Follow onscreen prompts and navigate to the payment processing page. Pay the corresponding fees and wait for the W-2 to be faxed or e-mailed to you.
