Housing a population of 1,649,519, it is the second largest city in the entire Canada with french as their mother language. Montreal, apart from being a commercial centre is also North America's leading tourism centre. Montreal is a perfect amalgamation of British and American cultures. It houses many of the 50 hitoric sites in Montreal itself namely, Notre-Dame de montreal basilica, Bonsecours market, the famous banks of James street, Pointe e Calliere Museum, Montreal Science Centre, St. Josephs Oratory, Casino de Montreal, Place d'armes, La laurentienne Building. The city has a lot to offer other than just the monuments . It is also a home to 3.5 million people of different ethnicities and faiths namely British, Chinese, Jews, Greeks etc.
