It can be so bad, Arizona evendecided to get rid of italtogether.
But unless you live there,you can't avoid adjustingthe clock, so you might as welllearn to adjust your body.
Here are some tips.
Follow the sun.
Open those shadesin the morning,and get a good helping of sunduring the day.
At night, dim the lights.
Following the sun's rhythmwill help get your body backon tempo.
Calm down.
That means no caffeine, alcohol,or exercise too closeto bedtime.
But exercise during the dayis great, and will help you winddown later.
Use the time change as an excuseto pamper yourselfwith a hot bath, soft music,and a good book before bedtime.
You can say it was prescribedby doctor if you need to.
Adjust your mind.
Don't wait till 2:00 AMto adjust your clocks.
Wind them back early to getyour mind acclimated.
Go to bed at your updated time,and avoid the urge to sleepin the next day.
If you do it right,it should only take youabout one dayto adjust to the change.
