Gout, also known as gouty arthritis, is a condition characterized by attacks of inflammation in single joints, which makes it very hard for a person suffering from gout to move freely during a gout attack.
There is no universal cure for gout, but there are a few natural treatments and remedies you can try.
These will help relieve some of the symptoms and prevent gout.
A very effective cure for gout is cherries, or cherry juice, since these fruits have strong anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the amount of uric acid in the body and also prevent it to settle into joints (which cause pain).
There is not a particular type of cherries you should use, since all work, even sour cherries.
It is recommended that you consume up to one half pound a day.
Of course, you could use cherry juice concentrate ( 1 tablespoon per day) as this is also a good cure for gout.
Another thing you want to consider is your diet.
You will want to cut down on purines intake, as these are responsible for up to 50% of gout attacks.
The aliments you should avoid and cut from your diet are meat gravies, kidney, brains, sweetbreads, meat extracts, mackerel, herring sardines and anchovies.
Also, don't forget do drink lots of water as this flushes out excess uric acid.
You should drink at leas eight glasses of water per day to assure a proper kidney function, so keep that in mind.
As you can see, there isn't only one cure for gout, there are many, and almost all very handy.
