How to Transfer Conte Crayon to Canvas
- 1). Draw your sketch on the slick side of the tracing paper. If you need to make a sketch that is larger than the piece of tracing paper, you can tape several sheets together. Make sure that the tape is on the side of the paper you aren't drawing on.
- 2). Place the tracing paper onto the canvas when you are done with the sketch. Make sure that the slick side of the paper is facing the canvas.
- 3). Tape the edges of the paper to the canvas to secure it.
- 4). Trace the outline of the conte crayon that you see through the backside of the paper with a pencil.
- 5). Peek under an edge of the paper to make sure that the transfer is complete. Retrace any areas that didn't transfer.
- 6). Remove the paper and tape.
- 7). Lightly spray the transferred sketch with fixative so that it doesn't smudge.
